GSDES is centred on a dedicated group of engineers with a breadth of engineering experience, across a broad range of disciplines. The company is well-established and accustomed to working with clients of different sizes from a variety of industry sectors. It has a strong network of associate staff and sub-contractors, able to coordinate and manage all aspects of a project.

GSDES is highly flexible, able to undertake different sizes of projects from £1K to £2M or 3 weeks to 3 years, throughout the UK. Typically, the design process extends from initial problem definition and specification evolution, through to design proposal, scheme production and detail drawing creation. All manufacturing is controlled by engineering staff who provide the links between the integrated design process and the specialist machining/fabrication sub-contractors. This approach facilitates the use of concurrent engineering methods.

All of these disciplines are integrated with the use of high level Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) tools that allow maximum transfer of information between the multidisciplinary teams using a common solid model for design, analysis, prototyping, manufacture and inspection. This approach ensures that techniques like design for manufacture are inherent in the process.

All of the key functions above are coordinated by project management skills, which ensures: detailed planning; conformance to legislation and specification; timely and cost effective completion; safe and reliable products based upon FMEA and risk analysis.
